Day Supports

Solutions and Solutions, Too

Solutions is an alternative community based program for students and adults who have not been successful in “traditional” day/vocational programs.

The mission of Solutions is to provide a wide range of educational, vocational, recreational, and leisure programs that will enable all participants to find pursuits that will stimulate their interest, increase their self-esteem, and help them achieve their full potential.

In 2001, the staff of Sullivan & Associates were looking for an alternative for several people who did not have a day program when they decided to create their own solution… Solutions opened in December 2001.

By October 2004, Solutions grew to 17 participants and needed more space. The program moved to its current location on Hubbard Avenue in Dalton. Also in 2004, Solutions Too also opened in Springfield. Solutions has grown rapidly and offers the same programs and individually based support as its predecessors in Pittsfield and Worcester.

The Solutions programs offer what most traditional day programs offer, however, Solutions offers something more, a real solution for people who have not experienced success in traditional day programs. Solutions also specialize in supporting the unique needs of people with significant behavioral challenges. Each participant is encouraged to find their own personal solution.

Our staff of Activity Instructors, and Job Coaches use unconditional commitment, perseverance, and creative problem solving to find a solution to each and every one of our participant’s day program needs. The curriculum is consumer driven and designed to meet the specific needs of each person.
